The governor of the Irkutsk Region Dmitry Mezentsev approved long-term regional target program "Protection and restoration of forests in 2012—2016". - 29.03.2012
- In Irkutsk be held a forum "Forest and Man-Siberia"
It is planned that in Irkutsk from September 4—7, 2012 in the frames of annual exhibition "WOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY OF SIBERIA" will be held "Forest and Man — Siberia" which be attended by timber manufacturers and exporters of Siberia and the Far East. Organizes of the event are Russia Union of Timber Manufacturers and Exporters, jointly with the Government of Irkutsk region.
